It seems that all the trips that are touted as the perfect family get away focus on different entertainment for the different ages in your family. For us, the perfect family getaway keeps our family together. We are always looking for ways to have fun but not spend a fortune in the process.
1. Camping. Although the cost of the initial set up can be expensive, it is possible to buy some of the needs second hand. With a tent, some sleeping bags, and a basic ability to cook over a camp fire, you and your family can stay anywhere for just a few dollars a day.
2. Family Memberships. For just a couple of hundred dollars (or less in some places) you can have unlimited opportunities to have fun as a family. Just last week, our family spent the day at the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, TN. With family passes, we can go back any time we want – for just a few hours or for another full day of fun. Even better, many zoos and aquariums have reciprocal programs – which mean that we will be able to visit places all over for free or for a discounted price.
3. Historical sites. There are great, hidden treasures all over that offer free tours. A few years back we found ourselves in Quincy, Illinois. Just a short trip to Missouri gave us the chance to tour the home town of Mark Twain. We got to see the fence that he had to pain growing up (and which was an important part of Tom Sawyer). For just a few dollars each, we toured the cave that was featured in the same book.
4. Unique animal parks. There is a buffalo park in Mississippi and a Safari park in South Georgia. Both parks offer a full day of fun and excitement for kids of all ages.
5. Free weekends. If you have children that are old enough to be left alone for an hour or so, most condo companies offer free weekends to couples with incomes over a certain amount. You could spend the money that would normally go towards lodging on events, food, or other outings.
6. Search for the best deals on flights using lowfares.com they usually help me find cheap flights to practically any destination
These ideas are a great start of fabulous family outings on a budget. They can be done individual or combined for a vacation that will be worth remembering. Don’t make it complicated, just make it creative.
So you know Jack from Jack in the box (the big foam head guy) well the other day i was at In-N-Out Burger and i just so happen to run into him there.
So the real question is…how is he going to eat with that on his head???
BTW: i wasnt the only idiot taking pictures there at least 3 or 4 others taking pictures with there phones.
I am not a big fan of sports but for some reason this year i’ve been watching a lot of the Olympics in Beijing. I think part of the reason is that there is nothign on tv besides that. Also that the Beijing opening events was specatular. I don’t recal ever seeing something more amazing.
I found this site that has all the coverage with out the Bull crap ads: Beijing Olympics 2008
This past weekend I went to the best SEO conference EVER! It was called Sun City SEO Con. This was more of a networking event than a traditional conference but man was a amazing.
Things I learned
-Arizona is Hot
-Chris Hooley is Hot

-Links from Blogs give you initial link juice but after a week or so the value is less.

I just started a new website: Lancer Evo X. I recently purchased a new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X MR (very long name I know) and as a car enthusitist I looked into modifying my car. As i searched the web to try to find all the detail about my car I noticed that it was very difficult. There is a ton of information about the Lancer Evo X but its just scattered all over the web. This is what inspired me to start my new site, to help organize all that information. Heck, I’m already going through all this trouble to find it I might as well go one step further than bookmarking it.
